Background

History

Jamcracker was founded in 1999 by KB Chandrasekhar (Exodus founder) with the vision of aggregating the delivery, administration, and support of third party hosted services. Over the past decade the company has developed a services delivery network that includes dozens of Software as a Service (SaaS) providers and hundreds of carriers, MSPs, and Resellers.

SaaS Ecosystem

Jamcracker aggregates and distributes on-demand services through a global ecosystem of Service Providers, Resellers, System Integrators, and ISVs, called the Jamcracker Services Delivery Network (JSDN).  Services available through the JSDN include messaging, collaboration, security, online data backup, wireless, and business productivity solutions from Microsoft, Cisco, McAfee, Motorola, Blackberry, IBM, Google, and dozens of other SaaS providers.  

Delivering On Demand

The JSDN is a completely outsourced SaaS channel-enablement platform that provides unified application and user management for a wide variety of best-of-breed on-demand services, with key features including:

  • Unified provisioning, administration, billing, settlement, support, security, and directory services.
  • Service integration adapters which connect the JSDN to third party-provided hosted solutions, offered by ISVs with whom Jamcracker has established Master Distribution Agreements.
  • Ecosystem partners can be both a supplier and a distributor of services. For example, carriers can publish their own core services to the JSDN, enabling them to create best-of-breed bundles that comprise internal and externally-provided solutions.

Carriers, MSPs, and other resellers leverage the JSDN to increase revenues and reduce customer churn by quickly, easily, and profitably sourcing, bundling, and delivering a broad array of co-branded IT services, business application services, and branded customer support services.  The JSDN enables our partners to extract greater profitability from their existing networks and customer bases, increase ARPU, and drive competitive differentiation by bundling new value-added services with their core offerings.

On-demand solution vendors leverage the JSDN as a scalable and proven distribution platform that wholesales, cross-bundles, and fulfills demand for their product offerings through a proven services-delivery channel, including some of the largest Communications Service Providers around the world, gaining access to millions of SME business users.  ISVs also utilize the JSDN for their own direct sales operations.

K.B. Chandrasekhar ("Chandra") founded Jamcracker in 1999, and is also co-founder and Chairman of e4e Services Inc., a global business process outsourcing company. In the mid-1990s, he founded Exodus Communications, which he led to become the leading provider of enterprise hosting services.  The company went public in March of 1998 in one of the most successful IPO's of the late 90's, and in 1999 Chandra was honored as the Ernst & Young Northern California Entrepreneur of the Year.

VINAY BHARDWAJ, Vice President of Products and Technical Services
  Vinay joined Jamcracker in 2000, coming from Oracle where he led the development of their Internet Applications and CRM integration products. Prior to this, Vinay was with TCS, Asia's largest independent software and services organization, where he led the development and implementation of ERP and custom applications for financial services, health care, and government markets.

Tushar has built and led services organizations within early-stage companies as well as large organizations. Tushar’s prior experience includes entrepreneurial and executive leadership positions at Fugensoft, Channel Automation, and AT Systems. Max Hopper’s career includes a 20-year tenure with AMR Corporation (American Airlines), where as Senior Vice President, CIO, and CEO and Chairman of AMR’s SABRE Group, he pioneered the delivery of electronic commerce and information services to the travel industry, establishing SABRE as one of the first broadly-adopted On-Demand Services. He also served as Executive Vice President and CIO at Bank of America, and held executive positions at Shell Oil, EDS, and United Airlines. Max has received numerous awards related to advancing information technology.
 
SAM JADALLAH, General Partner, Mohr Davidow Ventures

Prior to MDV, Sam was managing director of Internet Capital Group where he led the west coast and Asian operations and served as a member of ICG's senior management team and acquisition committee. Previously, Sam was at Microsoft for over a decade, most recently as a corporate officer and Vice President, Worldwide Enterprise Sales. Sam led Microsoft’s focus on the SMB market, and drove its Global Channels strategy.
